Once again, Fresno's water tower stood silent vigil over the Rally. | The weather forecasts were for a storm that approached Biblical in magnitude, so tarps and covers became a priority. | ||
Most everything that COULD wear a raincoat got a raincoat. | The wind was blowing, but the first thought that came to my mind on this one was "The Leaning Tower of Peace." | ||
We had the peace flag flying. | And never forget the most important flag and our appreciation of having the freedom to express our opinions in public. | ||
There were a LOT of people pitching in all over the place bring it all together. | Val had more offers of help than she could use. Not too many knew what an XLR plug is........ | ||
As usual, Stan Santos had us covered. | Eaton Plaza gets more beautiful each year. | ||
Forty-Nine organizations were signed up to table. | Gradually, things began to take shape. | ||
Is was a thing of beauty to watch the cooperation and teamwork as the Rally came together. | Lot's of people working hard, in a way like worker ants, going about their business. The epitome of cooperation. | ||
As usual, Don Loweburg of Offline Independant Energy Systems was on hand to donate lots of clean, green electricity to power the audio equipment. |
It was a lot of fun to watch this happen. Wish I'd had more opportunity to take pictures and talk to people. |
